The basic building blocks of music (melody, rhythm, and harmony) are the same across all cultures, but each culture (or individual person) can create countless unique songs from those building blocks. But to create new and more beautiful songs, someone has to (a) Know the building blocks of music and (b) Tune their instrument. For us as a church that means (a) Knowing the habits of a disciple of Jesus and (b) Tuning our decisions and actions to the voice of the Holy Spirit in our lives.
