Hello Church Fam,

Every year around this time we set aside time to pray and fast for the upcoming school year. There are so many new people, students, working professionals, families, you name it, who come to Ann Arbor around this time and are looking for belonging and community. Let’s be praying as a church that God opens doors for connection, for the gospel, for invitations, and for newcomers to get involved in our church community this year. We’d love to invite you to pray and fast from lunch this Tuesday through Thursday so that we enter this new school year depending on the Lord and believing Him in faith to move powerfully among us and in Ann Arbor. If fasting from food is not medically advisable for you, or you feel led by God differently this year, consider fasting from something else that would help you focus more upon the Lord during those days (it could be media or screens for example). Jesus said in the Sermon on the Mount that we are the light of the world and a city on the hill, that is meant to shine and draw people to the glory, goodness, and love of God. Let’s be praying this week that God makes that more and more true of us as His church and people!
