Happy New Year, Church!

Welp… welcome to 2026.. It’s gonna be great!

I’m not a “New Year’s Resolution” guy.  I’m not opposed to people making them, but I don’t. It doesn’t mean I don’t consider the year we’re leaving behind and wonder what the next one may might hold. It doesn’t mean I don’t have hopes for what the year ahead might hold. It just means I don’t sit down and set goals for the 365 coming days… write them down… and tell the whole world…

As I consider what 2026 might hold I have been drawn to wonder what God might do. What might He do in the ordinary and what He might choose to do that I would call “miraculous."  I love ordinary, and guess what, I love the miraculous too. Ordinary seems less risky to hope for, but miraculous… miraculous, now that is something.

I don’t hope for things, in either of these categories, with a demanding mentality, but more of one of humble expectation. I, humbly, expect God to work in and around my life and because of that my eyes are open to what He might do.

So, I invite you to join me… let’s humbly expect to be able to see God’s working all around us!

Can’t wait to see what you’ll do this year, God… thank you in advance!
