I committed my life to Christ in the summer between my sophomore and junior years at the University of Michigan. Then, a friend invited me to come to New Life where I was connected with a community of believers who loved me and built deeply into my life. My beautiful wife Alexi and I met in Chicago at seminary, married in 1999, then worked in a community church in Missouri after graduation. A few years later, we decided to move to Michigan and team up again with New Life. God has given us three beautiful daughters along the way. The girls have lots of energy and always bring smiles to our faces!

I went into ministry because I knew that God was inviting me to play a part in His Kingdom. It stokes my passion to see how God gives me the privilege of building into others to help them succeed in bringing Him glory through reaching out to friends who don’t know Christ, loving men and women in their small groups, and leading others into a deeper relationship with Jesus. I love playing a part in the journey God leads them in, no matter if they attend Eastern Michigan University, Washtenaw Community College, University of Michigan or work in Ann Arbor, Ypsilanti or the surrounding area.
